Sustain the World is funded by contributions from people just like you!

What is Sustainability?

Sustainability is the responsible use of natural resources; finding food and resources within a 100 mile radius of your home; and treading with a gentle footprint in your local ecosystem.

welcome to sustain the world

In the recent past, the Sustainability movement was considered a fringe element. Today, Sustainability and Renewability are household words, and communities across the nation are taking the initiative to become leaders in the clean energy revolution.

It's our goal to bring people from around the world together to find creative ways to preserve quality of life, promote energy efficiency, and create a green-energy economy.

Less is More

If your first question is, "Do my actions really matter?" the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!

As you begin to study the effects of Climate Change, you realize that more-developed countries pollute much more than less-developed countries. Most people with a computer and internet access who are able to view this website fall into the category of "more developed" and are able to do many things to reduce their carbon footprint.

LESS IS MORE applies to health, energy, consumerism, travel, fossil fuel usage and many other aspects of your life.

Download our free e-Book: 10 Easy Steps to Sustainability (PDF), which gives you an ideal starting point for your "climate change makeover."

But there's one thing you can do beginning right now, as the perfect beginning to your sustainability journey. It's simple, easy, free, and extremely effective: CONSERVE! Turn off lights; turn down the heater or AC; install energy efficient lights, make less trips into town... these little actions of conservation are BY FAR the most effective way for individuals to make a difference in the reduction of carbon in our atmosphere. Think about the effect of billions of people being more conscious of their energy usage! It's very powerful.
