I've had great examples of movers and shakers in my family who have all worked on various issues to help protect the Quality of Life in their communities.
A move to the Catskill Mountains in southern New York in 2008 has given me a fantastic opportunity to study and implement sustainable living ideals.
- Built a garden with 18 raised beds
- Converted our house to all wood heat
- Finished a major energy efficiency overhaul
- Detoxified my cleaning products
- Studied sustainable building models
- Engaged in the fight against hydrofracking (drilling) for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale.

I have been a professional musician and creative computer consultant for 25 years. As a trumpet player, I am known as "Electric Meg". My jazzy trumpet has been described as a "metal witching rod" - when mixed with amplified effects, creates a fantastical futuristic sound that both challenges and excites listeners. I am also an engineer, I write songs, produce, and love to teach.
As a computer consultant, I have 25 years experience at graphic design, web design, and digital documentation.
